The Flower of Life

The Flower of Life has a very deep and mysterious symbolism. Meanwhile, its shape is geometric, consisting of multiple overlapping circles, following a hexagonal symmetry. Its figure is similar to that of a flower. It is also called “ Sixth day of Genesis ” since it is obtained from the ‘rotation’ of six circles or spheres. Each of them would correspond to a day of Creation and would represent the internal structure of Creation. Due to its particular hexagonal shape, it is therefore linked to the number 6 which symbolizes Creation. This fact makes it similar to the Wheel of life, with six spokes, a symbol of the alternation of the seasons of life. In addition, it is reconnected to the hexagram, which can be inscribed in a perfectly hexagonal structure. It is also found in some churches, such as the Basilica of San Clemente in Rome.

A mysterious and propitiatory symbol

It is a very ancient symbol, which has been found all over the world and in every culture. The “Flower of Life” can be found in all major religions in the world. In Egypt it can be found in the ancient temple of Abydos. In Israel it can be found in ancient synagogues in Galilee and Mesada. The “Flower of Life” contains the patterns of creation, originating from the mind of the Creator. The ancient Celts considered the flower to be the same as the vivifying and generating power of the Sun: the star would transmit its healing and protective power to the sign. It would be a propitiatory symbol of a good birth and a lucky life. Often found in locks
